Cornwall Air Ambulance's second AW169 helicopter goes into operation for the first time today. The new aircraft, G-CNLL, arrived at the charity’s Newquay airbase four weeks ago and has since gone through a period of final ‘shakedown’ testing to make sure everything is working correctly. The helicopter is an AW169, manufactured by Leonardo Helicopters in Italy, and is the same model as the charity’s current aircraft but with the latest ‘phase seven’ performance upgrades.
