Mount Fairweather (15,325'), snowcapped and rising high above the surrounding scenery, posing as a backdrop for this humpback whale's deep dive underwater. Humpback whales are often seen taking several breaths, seen as 'blows' of water vapor at the surface, before lifting their fluke out of the water. When whales lift their fluke, this could indicate a deep dive, when the humpbacks will stay underwater
