The USS LST-325, a World War II–era Landing Ship, Tank, recently passed by our Fort Madison, Iowa live train camera. She played a vital role in the Allied invasions of Sicily, Salerno, and Normandy, carrying troops, vehicles, and supplies directly onto contested beaches. Decommissioned after the war, she was later recommissioned during the Korean War era
