As Nigerians living in the UK, we need to have an honest conversation about pricing and fairness within our community. Too often, some people charge outrageous prices for services—sometimes 5 times the going rate—while delivering work that isn’t even at a professional standard. Then, when questioned, they make you feel like they’re doing you a favour. Meanwhile, the exact same job can be done elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. Supporting fellow Nigerians shouldn’t mean accepting exploitation.
