Seeking stamped iron marks on early clockwork We are compiling a research catalogue of stamped wrought-iron marks found on turret clock movements, many of which appear to be iron supply or forge marks rather than makers’ signatures. We are particularly interested in examples from outside Britain — especially Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Scandinavia, and the Baltic regions — on: • turret clocks • large public clocks • early mechanical frames If you have seen or documented stamped mar
